I got the uchikomi expanders- I travel with work and they are perfectly sized for hotel room workouts or taking to the gym. The elasticity of the cord is good- not too resistant to prevent throwing movement, and not so loose that you have to stretch it out to get resistance. The gi material gives it a real feel for grabbing the sleeve and lapel, which also helps with gripping realism. I am quite happy with this purchase, and am happy to provide this feedback.

We purchased a Matsuru judo gi for my 8-year-old son, and we’re very happy with it. The material is durable and high quality, but still comfortable enough for long practices. It holds up really well during gripping and throws, and the stitching feels strong and secure.
The fit was great for him — true to size with enough room to move comfortably. After a few washes, it softened up nicely without losing its structure. It looks sharp on the mat and feels competition-ready.
Overall, a fantastic gi for young judokas. Highly recommend Matsuru! 🥋
